Visiting KK Textile: Showroom & Factory

What to expect when you come to our Guangzhou showroom and our Shantou embroidery and hand-beading workshop, how to book, what to bring, and what to check before you release a bulk order.

Why come at all

Photographs and swatches get you to a shortlist. A visit gets you to a decision — because you can see the bead inventory, the machines actually running your quality, and the hands that will sew your beads. It also shortens every future conversation: after one visit, we know what you mean by 'dense'.

If you cannot travel, ask for a live video walk-through. We run them weekly for buyers in the US and Malaysia, and we will point the camera at whatever you ask for.

Guangzhou showroom

The showroom holds the current season's qualities hung full-width so you can see the motif at real scale, plus the shade card and the development archive. Bring your pattern pieces: laying them on a full-width hanging is the fastest way to check motif placement.

Appointments run two to three hours and are one-to-one. Guangzhou is 40 minutes by metro from Canton Fair (Pazhou) complex, so most buyers combine a visit with a fair trip.

Shantou workshop

Shantou is where the embroidery machines run and where the hand-beading is done. You will see the bead store — hundreds of bins of glass seed beads, bugle, crystal, pearls and sequin — and the tables where a beaded motif is applied by hand, bead by bead.

It is a four-hour drive or a short flight from Guangzhou. We arrange the transfer. Most buyers do the showroom in the morning and the workshop the next day.

When to come

Best months are April–June and October–December, when new bridal qualities are running and the workshop is not at peak. Avoid late February to March and August, when bridal and holiday production peak and the machines are fully booked.

If you are already coming to the Canton Fair, book your slot before you fly — the calendar fills about two weeks out.

What to bring

Pattern pieces or a toile of the style you are developing

Any reference sample, even 5 cm, and a Pantone reference if colour matters

Your target retail price and your estimated yardage — it changes which machines we put you on

A phone with a good camera, and a notebook for SKUs

What to check before you release bulk

Ask to see the bead bins for your quality, not a sample card — that tells you whether a repeat order will be possible next season.

Ask what happens to a bead that is discontinued mid-run. Every honest factory has an answer; the good ones have a substitution policy in writing.

Ask for the in-line QC checkpoint list: bead density per square, colour against the approved dip, usable width, and the shedding test.

Ask who packs and how. Beaded lace crushed in a box arrives with broken beads and a claim nobody enjoys.

Take a photograph of the approved sample next to a dated card. That picture ends most disputes.

Short answers

Is there a cost to visit?

No. We do not charge for showroom or workshop visits, and we do not bill development time spent understanding your brief.

Can I bring my agent or my designer?

Yes, and we prefer it. The more of your team understands the construction, the fewer emails later.

Do you sign an NDA before I show artwork?

Yes. Ask for it before you travel and we will send it in advance.

What if I cannot get a visa in time?

Book a video walk-through instead. We will show the same qualities on camera and send the swatch pack by courier the same week.
